LONI is located in Neuroscience Research Building 1, occupying 8425 sq. ft. of the building's second floor. This state-of-the-art facility houses faculty offices, collaborative work spaces, a conference room, a super computer room, wet labs and the Data Immersive Visualization Environment.

SUPER COMPUTER ROOM
LONI’s data is processed by a 306-node, dual-processor SUN Microsystems V20z cluster, one of the largest V20z installations in the world, a 64-node Dell development cluster and a a 64-processor SGI Origin 3800 SMP supercomputer. Data storage is facilitated by two robot silos, a Storagetek SL8500 and a Powderhorn 9310.
