- get and put files works for local filesystems, sFtp, and http
- http directory listings reveals bugs in supporting packages.

- 3D Shape Representation conversion toolbox
- Problem: Need a way to convert between various representations of shapes (Mesh geometry, binary volumes, signed distances, implicit functions,...)
- Much harder than corrosponding volume format problem due to greater variety of types of surfaces.
- some existing special case solutions. (Voxel-surface: marching cubes, mesh to distance func.
- need for more specifics in defining the problem.
- need to find a researcher (client) to guide implementations and solutions.

- Do not develop ShapeViewer analysis plug-ins
- Do not support ftp in VirtualFileSystemBrowser (passwords are cleartext).
- Yonggang, Craig and Duygu to meet Friday to focus on specific project.
