CCB Project Definition Template

Please use this as a guide to submitting a new project request to Dr. Ivo Dinov

   1. Targeted developers: SRP's, CS and other grads, postdocs,
fellows, visitors, interns, CCB/Bioinformatics/UCLA class projects.
   2. Project Timeframes: 1 to 52 wks in duration
   3. Project Types: Theoretical Developments (proofs, techniques),
specific short SW developments (in C++/C, Java, PHP, JavaScript, Wiki, SW
Documentation, SW packaging & distribution), web-apps, etc.
   4. Project Tracking Environment: 

Here is a guideline for submission style (HTML/DOC/PDF):

   1. Name of Project (e.g., CCB Visualization Filter Plug-in in Java)
   2. Type of Project/Problem (Scientific, Computational, SW
Development, Bioinformatics, Web app)
   3. Person/Group submitting the project/problem
   4. Summary - One paragraph brief top-level description of the
problem
   5. Detailed description of the problem/project (as long as it needs
to be) including diagrams, references and pointers, as needed.
   6. Desired/suggested approach for solving/addressing the
problem/project (e.g., Programming language, technique, tool to use)
   7. Suggested Timeline for the project (in months)
   8. CCB Contact Person for Problem/Project
   9. Additional Info regarding the Problem/Project (e.g., URL, papers,
SW package, etc.)
