New Features in ShapeViewer v. 1.1
- Perspective
- [View Menu] Toggles the display perspective to ??
- Scene Orientation
- [View Menu] Sets the scene orientation (rotation). Predefined orientations and user specified orientations are supported.
- Light Direction
- [View Menu] Sets the direction of the scene light sources to a predefined location.
- View Direction
- [View Menu] Sets the viewpoint of observer to one of several predefined points.
- Bean Shell
- [Advanced Menu] Allows an expert user access to the programming language used to create and control the ShapeViewer. Custom script may be defined and executed.
- Server
- [Advanced Menu] Allows a ShapeViewer to communicate it's actions to a group of separate, remote ShapeViewer programs. Whatever the Server displays will be shown on the remote client ShapeViewers.
- Client mode
- [Advanced Menu] Allows a ShapeViewer to be controlled by a remote ShapeViewer Server. The local viewer display will show what is being done with the remote Server viewer.
- Load Shape in (client) Viewer
- [Advanced Menu] Loads a shape file into a locally run separate ShapeViewer whose orientation is slaved to the current Viewer. This is allow multiple shape to be seen from the same orientation.
- View Log
- [Help Menu] Displays a detaled event and message log.
- More File Formats
- ShapeViewer now displays Loni TM , OpenDX DX and Geomview OFF data file formats.
- Variable color opacity
- The color(s) assigned to shapes may have their opacity varied.
- Editable Color Map Control Points
- The values of Color Map control points may be edited and set precisely.
- Invertable Color Maps
- A color map's coloring scheme may be inverted - color of high values changed to low values, and vice versa.
- Data defined vertex colors
- Shape with data attributes assigned to their vertices may have the colors of the vertices set from user defined custom color maps.
- Coordinate Transform
- Applies an AIR linear transformation to the coordinates of a Shape's vertices.
