Research My research focuses on high-angular resolution diffusion imaging (HARDI). HARDI methods are an extension of classical diffusion tensor magnetic resonance imaging (DT-MRI or DTI) methods that utilize diffusion-weighted MR measurements to reconstruct spin diffusivity profiles in vivo. These reconstructions can be used to infer local fiber orientation and thereby gross white matter architecture. My specific interests are in improving methods for fiber orientation recovery and generating more robust and meaningful tractography results. I am also investigating the utility of DTI and HARDI as a diagnostic aid in certain patient populations. Groups Tools
