Diffusion Mapping Analysis (DMA):
DMA is a method created to improve our understanding of diffusion in the brain. Detailed methods can be found in Biological Psychiatry at:

Phillips OR, et al. (2010) Mapping cortico-cortical connectivity in schizophrenia and the effects of genetic liability. Biological Psychiatry

Purpose:
Diffusion cortical warping is designed to combine DTI and sMRI data so that diffusion parameters can be measured along the cortex as well as along the gray/white matter boundry.

Why use it:
It is a straight forward approach that will allow the quantification of diffusion properties (FA, MD, axial & radial diffusivity). Importantly, it is a useful tool for the study of superficial white matter (cortico-cortico connections, u-fibers), which has been traditionally difficult to examine in-vivo.

How it Works:  Below is a figure designed to give an overview of the processing involved to set up diffusion cortical warping. However, the links on the left will provide a detailed overview of the processing and analysis steps.
